Which Life Group will you be attending(Required) MU Life Group #1 MU Life Group #2 MU Life Group #3 This group will meet Every Saturday Morning in person from 8:30am - 10:00am This group will meet Every Tuesday Morning in person from 9:30am - 11:30am with the option of lunch after. This group will meet Every Wednesday Night via Zoom from 7:30pm - 8:00pm The purpose this commitment is to provide an environment where attendees can experience authentic community and spiritual growth Values: The Word of God – The Word of God will be a key element within the Life Group, a place to grow and be encouraged, through His Word. (2 Tim 3:16-17) Relationships – The driving force behind the group is the building of relationships, to encourage each other, a place of openness and transparency and help us build our walk with God. This is an environment where people should feel free to be themselves (John 17:21; 1 Thessalonians 5:11). Confidentiality – What is said in with the Life Group stays within the Life Group, issues discussed within the Life Group will not be shared outside of the group unless there is a breaking of the law or pastoral intervention is required. (Proverbs 11:13). Respect – Respect is expected by everyone attending the Life Group, including but not limited to listening to others when they speak, not jumping to conclusions but asking for clarification and not interrupting anyone when they speak. We acknowledge that we are all in different parts of our walk with God and none of us have all the secrets to an authentic relationship with God or Christianity. (Phil 2:4 ; Romans 12:10). Availability – A commitment is expected to make an effort to attend and participate in each meeting if possible or notify the group of their absence through group chat. (Hebrews 10:25) Patience - Each member will be called upon to exercise slow to anger and abundance in loving kindness. A Life Group is not our battle ground. We come to be encouraged, trained in righteousness and a place of restoration. (Psalm 103:8-12 ; James 1:19-20) Teachability - Many are called upon God to teach and have been given the gift of teaching. However, the goal of a Life Group should not be to teach your knowledge or wisdom to others, but instead to be fed and taught by The Holy Spirit. Thus, listening will be considered a more important value than speaking. This is all the more important in moments when we disagree with what others are saying as the Holy Spirit give us discernment we can learn from another’s perspective. (Psalm 86:11 ; James 1:19-20) Cross Cultural - We live in a cross cultural setting and each of us come from different cultures, thus we process and think differently from each other. We will respect other cultural backgrounds and remain to avoid any misunderstandings.(Galatians 3:28 ; 1 Cor 9) Goals: Encouraging each other with our walk with God. (Proverbs 27:17) Encouraging men to all they are called to be (Matt 20:26 ; Hebrews 10:24-25) A place of refuge, healing, and teaching (1 Timothy 4:8) IFull Name(Required) hereby commit to the above as I am involved in this Life Group.
